Veterans Issues and Successes Returning Home From Service: The Infographics

American Veterans have served this country proudly and valiantly. It is a challenging, rewarding, life-changing experience and often very difficult to describe, especially to civilians. What each veteran experiences, combat or not, is a very long period of extended absence from comfort, security, families, and breaks.

When veterans come home it is a joyous occasion filled with reunions, familiar faces, places, foods and smells. Some veterans come home to families, or choose to start ones when they return. Others go to school to earn their degrees with the help of VA loans for their service or enter directly into employment.

While coming home for many is a smooth transition, some veterans are met with roadblocks along the way. For some veterans the hardest thing to do is to come home and acclimate into civilian life again. These roadblocks include unemployment, post traumatic stress disorder, homelessness, suicide and more.

In the data below we cover the many facets of a veterans life once returning home. This data takes into consideration the accomplishments as well as the need for veterans charities which help returning men and women with things such as post traumatic stress disorder, suicide prevention and retraining to help prevent homelessness.
